Spring is in the air

A summary of things going on today and whats on my mind...

Although things are going well right now a lot of people seem to be trying to make things quite hard at the moment. I'm just trying to block it out and not let it get to me and affect things although sometimes it does get quite tough.

Little jessica came into work today. She is absolutely adorable and successfully distracted me from working the whole time she was here. Is it bad I am already quite broody?

Had a successful meeting today. Got talking to the guy afterwards and found out he speaks fluent italian and has a lot of italian business associates. He stayed for over an hour after the meeting as we talked about my time at university also learning italian and our many trips and experiences of the country.

Can't wait for easter to come. Like every year I am off to stay in our little cottage on the east coast again - its so idyllic and such a good place to escape to, especially to clear your mind with a bit of sea air! Taking J. with me this year, hes never been before so hes in for a treat :)
The last few days i've been transforming the shop with an easter display and sprucing it up with decorations and lots of gorgeous daffodils! [definitely one of my favourite flowers] its making things feel very spring like and putting me in a very good mood!
Anyways its one of my best friends birthday tomorrow so we are having a surprise "Come Dine With Me". I am very excited about it and having been giving the responsibility of dessert - lets hope i can cope!

Alice in Wonderland

So have had a very busy last few days. Work is extremely hectic - I have so many things I need to make up for print yet have been greatly distracted [much by the help of Jo might I add] in going on trips to buy things in for the shop.

We went to the strangest place yesterday called Willowpool. It markets itself as "garden centre and baron antiques". I have to say it was an extremely interesting experience! I felt I was truely living in the world of Alice and Wonderland as you weaved around the walkways in and out of trees, over streams at the same time as being surrounded by million of flowers, antiques and bric-a-brac.

This is the cafe at the garden...its so adorable under the little thatched huts and the food was pretty amazing too!

Went for dinner with a friend last night to a local italian restaurant. Is it bad to be on first name terms with all the staff - is that a bad sign I eat there far too often?
Oh well it is lovely!
